I wanted to come in and post a WIP Wednesday this week but I just couldn’t. I’ve had a med change and I’m really, really struggling. At the moment I’m in a stop the world I want to get off mood; about the only thing that’s going well for me at the moment is work! It’s so nice to work somewhere where people appreciate you and do care about you, and I’ve only been there 8 months, a radical change from where I was before in retail.
Anyway, what you’re really here for is the Finished Object!
It feels like a long time since I’ve been able to do one of these;
I finished my Saxon this week!
It’s a great pattern, really well written. Mine has 8 strips instead of 10 because I can’t count. I knitted all the strips at once and somehow thought rainbow + black + white was 10 not 9. I left out the black, it just pulled the colour pallet too far down if I left it in. This is a cowl; and it’s reversible. The strips are 10 stitch stockinette so they curl inwards giving the impression of tubes and reversibility. I really love this, it makes a comfy cowl but also a nice headband which is thick around my ears. I suffer from ear aches in the winter and it’ll be nice to know I have this if I forget my hat.
Wow, this looks wicked! Good job =)
