Wonder Wool Wales 2014

  I’m going to write up my Wonderwool post now, because I actually have 2 F.O’s to show for Friday! I am incredibly tired and a bit woozy so I apologise in advance if this makes no sense. We travelled up this year on the Friday; we being my friends Angie and Michelle. I’ve known Angie since 2009-ish when we both attended the Guildhall knitting group in Gloucester, I’ve known Michelle a little less time, she was one of my very first crochet students when I started teaching in the shop, which I think was 2011. In a weird way it turned out that the two knew each other and had been friends for a long time before! So it was with great company we set out. We stayed at the Old Station Caravan Park in New Radnor, about 15 miles away from the Royal Welsh Showground where Wonderwool is held every year. Spring Fling

  Ahh, it’s the first day of a 4 day weekend for me and I’m looking forward to it immensely. Last night I went out with work colleagues, as seems to be the Maundy Thursday tradition in the Civil Service. I thoroughly enjoyed myself, though felt quite drunk after 3 pints of Cider and a Gin and Tonic! Luckily I woke up today early (around 7) and without a headache. I never used to be a morning person, but there is something to be said about waking up and having the whole day in front of you; throwing open the curtains and letting the light and breeze in and blasting the Radio. So far this morning I’ve brought my wheel down for a bit of TLC, found a notebook to plan my Knitting and Crochet Blog Week posts in and knitted a few rounds on a pair of socks. After I’ve finished typing this I’m going to have a sort out of the TV unit which contains our DVDs and Games and maybe make a start on my Bookshelf – which seems to have become a dumping ground for everything by my fella – even though h
